Advertising and marketing compliance is a challenging task facing dealers today. Our panel will review dealer radio, television, print, website, Internet, and social media advertising for compliance with Truth-in-Lending laws, deceptive trade practices, and other applicabe regulations. In addition, they will discuss digital marketing initiatives, including email, text message marketing, and more.
Some discussion topics:
- What is deceptive advertising? What rules apply to lease advertising?
- Are the rules the same for Internet, radio, newspaper, and television ads?
- Can dealerships text or email advertisements to customers?
- Advertising 0 down, % over invoice, specific payment, and footnotes could lead to trouble.
- Does your dealership offer prizes or sweepstakes? Why does it matter?
